Motivation Monday!
Continued from Monday February 25th. ( Remember I am going to go through the exercises from The Seven Minute Difference to develop a story of how my service is different from my competitors)
Part 2 of finding and developing a story that differentiates me from my competitors.
The next step in the process is differentiating yourself through your core convictions and strengths. Your purpose in life ties to your core convictions about your life and work, and the strengths you draw from those beliefs. Our core convictions about work must match our personal values.
How do we determine our core convictions? The first step is to state what you consider your strengths.
- I am good at explaining the loan process in simple and understandable terms.
- I like public speaking and educating.
- I have the patience to answer ALL the questions and to change course in mid stream.
- I am knowledgeable about FHA and VA and down payment assistance.
- I am funny and I like to laugh.
- I have integrity.
- I like to expose people to all the options available but not let them choose a dangerous choice.
- I love success and being apart of others success.
- I love teamwork.
The next step is to take those strengths and make them into core belief statements.
At this step I can combine some of my strengths into fewer core belief statements.
-
I believe that the mortgage process should be easy to understand and that a client needs to be exposed to all the options that are available to them.
-
I believe that my clients can ask as many questions as they need to so they feel comfortable and that they should never sense a frustration on my part as a result of their questions.
-
I can teach people and through team work I can help people be successful.
-
I can work with integrity and that integrity directs me in helping my clients choose the best option for them.
-
I believe that laughter and humor make the day worth living.
Now I can begin to see how these core beliefs will be what separates me from my competition.
